Latin Dance Anatomy
Following a devoted journey of dance training for nearly 17 years, fate brought the author to the world of mobility training where he met and got inspired by several leading trainers and therapists.
The unreserved sharing and exchanging of these top mobility trainers and therapists led the author to embark on a new venture, exploring innovative sport training methodology and therapeutic technology.
The new knowledge aroused the author's curiosity towards unfolding the mystery of the human body, so as to anatomize and re-understand Latin dancing, bringing new perspectives into its training and development.
As Confucius puts it in his Lijl, Xueji, "The more we learn, the more we'd realise how little we know. Only when we know we don't know can we reflect on ourselves, learn and evolve."
It's been an honor and a privilege for me to be involved in Cedric's dance journey. His talents transcend the dance floor and have now manifested in the creation of this book. I recommend it to everyone who's serious about dance and movement.
Hello, dear friends! We are very grateful that in our dance sport there are people as Cedric which are helpful in development of our artistic sport. That's beautiful addition about muscle work without injuries. Enjoy by studying and reading his book!
WOW, what a book. Never before has there been such a detailed study combining Latin American dancing with the scientific analysis of body parts and mechanics. I was excited to read the great detail provided to attempt to prevent injury through misuse or overuse of excessive muscular tone, something very dear to my heart. This book is the work of a lifetime of research by a talented dancer with natural ability that obviously retained a hunger and drive for acquiring more detailed knowledge of how it all worked kinetically to create efficiency in harmonious movement.
Cedric has always been a talented dancer with a physical knowledge and presents on the dance floor that most dancers could only dream of including myself but now he's able to share that knowledge and understanding that I believe will take dancing to another level.
